England put in a dominant display at wembley last night to see off a good Mexico team with ease. King scored after crouch nodded down a Steven Gerrard Corner, Crouch soon followed up with a goal of his own to give england a 2-0 lead. West Ham player Franko scored in in the 3rd minute of 1st half injury time so the teams went in at 2-1. Then jsut 2 minuted intot he second half Glen Johnson scored a memorable goal after taking it round 3 players and bending the ball into the top corner with his weaker left foot.

Thanks for the post, i watched the game live and i dint think England played to bad either. I have read alot of posts saying how we didnt perform but i thought England did just what they had to do.

Johnson's goal was quality and the way he attacks, he adds another dimension to england. We may have a problem once we start playing the Brazils and Spains of the world, but against lower standard opposistion when Engoland will be attacking he is a real asset.

England were lucky to bea Japan, but they did have a weekend side out. A lack of creativety was englands main problem, it will be different in the world cup when they start with their strongest team. I hope

What blog did you find the England highlights on mate? can't seem to find them, i watched the games live but i just want to see the games again, and analyse the difference the subs made in the Japan game, as we were poor first half and alot better second half!

to put into perspective the result against Mexico and how well i thought we played. Italy played them last night and lost 2-1 and they started with their strongest possible team. So that is either a good indecation as to how well England did against the Mexicans or how poor Italy are and are going to be this world cup
