Ok lets preview the main clubs
Chelsea- The defending champion has released a creative player in Joe Cole and a tough tackling midfileder in Micheal Ballack. However they have a wealth of attacking talent coming through the academy. With the likes of Kakuta and Hutchinson along with veterans like Terry Lampard and Drogba - Chelsea have more than just a fair chance of winning the title - especially with Old Carlo in charge
Manchester United- The Red Devils lost their crown last season and are eagerly awaiting to retain the trophy from the clutches of Chelsea.Sir Alex Ferguson's squad has a host of veterans who would want to retire on the highest note by clinching the 19th title. Wayne Rooney is coming back from a fantastic season and if he does hit his peak this season it is hard to see United not winning the title. He is capably supplied by Antonio Valencia and Nani along with Berbatov he can form a lethal partnership.
Arsenal- With the possible signing of Joe Cole the Gunners are adding more silk to their squad rather than steel. The problem for Arsene Wenger's men is that they always fall short when it comes to physical battles of Blackburn and Stoke. The signing of Chamakh is some what of a replacement for Adebayor. The Gunners are the dark horses in the title race
Tottenham Hotspur- The distraction of Champions League Football might prove too much for Harry Redknapp's Spurs to concentrate on the league. Despite this the squad has a wealth of attacking talent but will mostly be over powered by the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool next season.
Manchester City- In trusting Roberto Mancini for one more year - The ABU Dhabi grou have taken a wise decision. With the imminent arrivals of Silva, Milner and Boateng bolsters their already great squad. Adam Johnson could be a revelation. If things go well - its hard to see Mancini's men finishing below 4th
Liverpool- Written off, in ashes- the phoenix called Liverpool might gloriously arise from the ashes and restore the pride and glory of the club. One shouldn't at any cost under-estimate the squad containing Steven Gerrard Fernando Torres and Javier Mascherano. The will and determination of these players is too high for them to subdue without a fight. Roy Hodgson's first assignment at a big English club is a tough one
